When Andrew walked into a corporate event filled with jabronis, he had no idea the love of his life would be there, staring at him with piercing eyes. Rachel was hosting the event, but even amid the chaos, her eyes were suddenly drawn to the door as Andrew walked in... and everything else faded away.
In those first moments of “meeting,” in a room of nearly one hundred people, it was electric from the instant Rachel and Andrew locked eyes.
Andrew immediately heard a little voice in his head say, “Nope. We are not doing this.” And yet, he still walked over and introduced himself. When they shook hands, Rachel had the unmistakable feeling that something big had just fallen into place.
Over the next year, the two met for coffee and shared stories about work, life, friends, and family — little did they know those same friends and family would eventually unite as one through their love.
Andrew had recently moved back to New York from Texas and was living just outside the city. When he moved into his Manhattan apartment, he asked Rachel out that first week.
The two have been inseparable ever since.
Andrew loved Rachel so much that he didn’t even care she was from New Jersey. Rachel loved Andrew so much that she gave up being a vegetarian after eight years and is now a full-on enthusiast for the world’s best dry-aged ribeye steaks — which, conveniently, no one cooks better than Andrew, the love of her life.
And the rest, as they say, is history!
